Baby Shower Hostess Gifts..

I am the guest of honor at a baby shower, and want to know what type of inexpensive gifts I can give the 3 girls hosting my baby shower. One is a friend, the other two are sister in laws.....they traveled far and spent a lot of money, so I want something equally as thoughtful, but can't afford anything too expensive...what do you think?

Thanks for your question. What a wonderful support group you have!! Nothing is better than having wonderful women around who give of themselves to help a new mom out. You are very lucky to have such great people in your life.

The best way to thank your baby shower hostesses is to give something simple and from the heart.

A sincere and well thought out thank you note is a great way to tell your hostesses "thank you".

As a rule, the hostesses' gifts should not be anything pricey, because the whole reason of the shower is to help you prepare for motherhood.

That being said, a great baby shower hostess gift is one that's from the heart. Women love relaxation, a good tear jerker movie and of course, chocolate.

Here are some gift ideas to start with:

Movie gift card to Redbox or a local movie theater

Bath bubbles, body wash, or face scrub

Lotion

Manicure, pedicure or massage

Take them out to lunch as a "thank you"

Flowers

Cute jewelry that matches their style

Candles

Lip gloss (a girl can never have enough!)

Chocolate

That favorite book or CD she's been talking about.


Take some time to think of each of their personalities and style and I am sure you will be able to get them each something that they love. They will also love that you took the time to pick something that they would enjoy.
