My Little Red Wagon Baby Shower

I was giving a friend a baby shower. She was having a boy and wanted something unique, not the same old baby blue theme. We decided on "My Little Red Wagon".
I covered each table with cream table cloths and for the centerpieces, put small plastic red wagons(found in most craft stores)and placed a small teddy bear in each.
I tied red, brown and cream balloons from these filled with helium.
I also placed in with the bear a clear baby bottle filled with red and brown jelly beans to help take up space in the wagon (any red baby item would work, rattle, etc.)
I made a 1/2 sheet cake and using the star tip, constructed a red wagon and wrote "bumping up and down in my little red wagon" Welcome Baby _______" For the food table, I used more red wagons between dishes and made sure each dish was served in a red or brown dish, baskets worked great. I used red plates, brown forks, red cups and brown napkins.
I brought my sons red wagon from home to use beside mommy to hold presents. I made diaper wreaths for the doors using more miniature red wagons and lots of red ribbon and red baby items like pacifiers, rattles, teethers, etc. I also filled small favor bags with red jelly bellies and tied them with brown ribbon and added a poem from the baby for favors.
And of course I made mommy and the hostesses wear red! This really made for a gorgeous shower and a little twist from the traditional pastel colors that become routine!
