I made this diaper cake for my daughter. I rolled up newborn and the next size up diapers and used clear rubber bands to hold them. Put them around a wrapping paper roll and secured them. Then I wrapped the diapers with blankets, onesies and bibs. I attached little plastic decorations of pacifiers, bottles and bears with ribbon.
I attached the cuddly baby toys and stuck the little baby bee rattle into the very top. (My daughter and son-in-law called the baby before she was born, baby bee because she was always busy and moving around). I had cut a round piece of cardboard and covered it with a piece of lacy material for the bottom.

I just attempted my first diaper cake made from looking at the photos on your website. I think my cake looks terrific. I am making it for the center piece for the first baby shower I am going to throw. It is designed as a baby girl's cake as she will be arriving shortly.

I used a platter for the base. I rolled the diapers and tied with a pink ribbon. I then placed a fleece blanket in the middle and place the diapers around; didn't use a certain amount of diapers just made it where the platter was completely covered. I then cut the cardboard off the blanket (don't cut before you put the diapers or blanket will lose shape). I then made the second layer. I tied off both layers with white ribbon and teddy bears. Rolled washcloths, baby lotion and baby wash were placed throughout the layers. Place baby doll on top. This was my first diaper cake and I am pleased with the way it turned out.

Diaper cake for my first grandchild, saw pictures of diaper cakes on line and had to make one. They are so cute it was a big hit. I just wrapped the diapers using a cardboard tube for the inside and tied ribbons around the diapers. It was easier than I thought it would be.

The centerpiece of the cake topper and our clients always drive us to make the most unique diaper cakes that offer excitement and enjoyment to our Baby Showers. Simple but exciting! Attach diapers with rubber bands, coordinate matching ribbons and finish it off with unique attachments. We believe our cakes stay with the Mom-to-Be as permanent fixtures in their Baby's Room.

Using directions on your website on how to create a diaper cake, we made one for my daughter's baby shower in February. My daughter collects Pocket Dragons so we used them to decorate the cake along with the bright colors planned for the nursery. Pocket Dragons are hard to find now that the artist has retired but, we found lots on eBay.

I made this diaper cake for my cousin's baby shower. This is the fourth diaper cake I have made. The very first one I did was for my daughter's shower last October. So, I just wanted to share this one which I did a little different and my cousin loved it so much.

I followed the exact instructions on how to assemble the diaper cake on youtube and then added my own special theme-doll, ribbons, flowers, lace, and bear picks. My baby shower theme was "Spring Sprouting Baby" however I wanted my diaper cake to have more of a baby look with just a little bit of flowers to keep the theme going. For that Extra Special touch the Precious Moment doll on top recited a brief prayer every time you squeezed its tummy! I heard that little doll praying quite a bit throughout the party. It was such a hit that I had a few requests from guests to assemble diapers cakes for future parties!

Ingredients:
72 Newborn Pampers Swaddlers
3 different size ribbon
Rubber bands
curling ribbon
ribbon shreds
Rattle
8 oz bottle
Diaper Rash Cream
Wooden Dowels
Scrapbook Stickers
I began by rolling diapers & securing each one with a rubber band. I then arranged them around a the bottle & secured with another rubber band. I also tied curling ribbon around each "layer" to make it tighter. I added the diaper rash ointment for the 3rd layer. I probably should have used a 4 oz bottle in hindsight. :-) Anyway, to make it even more secure I inserted 4 small wooden dowels. The cute little rattle on top is a great little item I ordered from babyshowerstuff.com. I used the ribbon shreds around the edge of each layer. And I used scrapbook stickers for the name & decorations. I think it turned out perfect!!! And I can't wait to make another one!

This diaper cake was made for a very special lady expecting her first baby. The nursery was 'outfitted' in brown/pink zebra print...so we ran with the colors for the baby shower. The 6 layer cake was a huge hit...and an even bigger surprise.
Steps:
- Cut baseboard out of poster board and cover with brown straw place mat. Lightly baste ruffle around edge of place mat.
- Because this was such a large cake I used the base of a plastic birdbath to hold everything in place. It was hot glued to the center of the mat.
- Roll diapers and band with small rubber bands. (I prefer to use the tiny plastic bands used for fine hair braiding.)
- Place a large rubber band at bottom of birdbath (or other item you may use) and tuck in diaper rolls until it is the size layer you want.
- Place another rubber band a bit higher on the stand and repeat step four until you have reached the top.
- Layers are wrapped with various receiving blankets, burp cloths, etc.
- Paper shred is tucked between each layer.
- On top layer baste lace to resemble icing.
- Pin doll in top layer.

I made this diaper cake for my daughter after looking at your site last year. Now my daughter is making one for a friend of hers and I referred her to your site for ideas. She suggested that I post a picture of the one I made for her.
