This cute green and pink cake was made out of a 6 inch and 10 inch cake. I made the baby bassinet, baby, shoes, dots and plaque out of fondant. It was really fun to make and so cute!

I took 3 oval cakes and stacked them together. I made the hood out of gum paste and let it sit over a bowl, it must dry overnight. You can get this in (you craft store). I made the baby out of fondant and blanket out of fondant. The ruffles are out of buttercream!

This is a 3 tier baby shower cake made with fondant accent pieces. I used 10 inch, 8 inch and 6 inch cakes for the layers. The baby, birds and bassinet are all made out of fondant. I finished it off by piping ruffles and roses around the layers.

This was made with a white cake, one layer is pink and the other is blue, (because mommy didn't know the sex of the baby yet). The hood is Pineapple flavored cake and the icing is Buttercream.
I used a 9 X 15 sheet cake for the bed and two 8"rounds for the hood, I used bamboo skewers pushed through the hood into the sheet cakes to hold and support it. I iced the cakes using the basket weave method and I made the Bear, toys, blanket and flowers by hand using fondant icing and used real ribbon on each side for the bows.

The 3-d bassinet is three stacked oval cakes. Take 2 8" cakes cut in half. Use 3 of the half cakes and place them on top of the oval cake. Use your buttercream icing to attach and keep the pieces together. Ice the whole cake in buttercream then go back over the bassinet outside with a basket weave and use fondant accents for blanket and baby.

This cake was made with a hood that was Styrofoam and decorated a 9X13 pan (double layer) chocolate cake. I used a rose tip to do the ruffles and made buttercream roses for the top of the hood. The blanket was made from fondant.

I made the cake out of simple boxed cake mix. The cake was covered with homemade icing and then with homemade fondant. The decorations are all handmade with fondant except for the buggy, which was Wilton. There is even a baby with a teddy bear inside the buggy that I made. It was the first fondant cake I had ever worked on and it took about seven hours total from start to finish. Hope you like it!

I made 3 small rectangle cakes and stacked them...I iced the whole cake. Then I added some fondant for the blanket and bedding detail. I used gum paste to make the headboard and foot board (2 days in advance so it could harden) I hand painted the headboard and foot board for the "wood" effect, with cake paints. I used painted lollipop sticks for the small rails. I used royal icing to glue the crib together. Making sure it would fit around the cake when I was done...It was so fun making and doing the detailing.

Pink, for a baby girl! This is a 6, 8, 10" cake. Crumb iced with buttercream and covered with Fondant.
I used pearl and silver color with my Kopykake Airbrush! Mine is the Kroma-Jet style. http://www.kopykake.com/ac_compressors.html Oh I love that airbrush! It is very old! I have had it since 1980 and it is still going strong! Fondant takes spray color so well and dries fast. I love the old fashioned Baby Buggy.
